A fabulous pair of 20th Century well figured rosewood and kingwood occasional tables, finely carved with beautifully rich patination, grain and is cross banded with stunning marquetry panels and well cast ormolu mounts throughout. The moulded, quarter veneered top of oval form is adorned to the central reserve with an exquisite marquetry inlaid panel depicting a gorgeous arrangement of fruit, leaves and scrolling foliate motifs and features an ormolu mounted pierced gallery grille, fluted border and a pair of turned handles with foliate detail, raised over a serpentine frieze with centred delicate trailing foliate ormolu mounts. Supported on slender, gracefully tapering leg featuring further ormolu mounts to the knee with cabochon and foliate motifs, conjoined with an undertier quarter veneered and cross banded shelf of oval form featuring a further marquetry inlaid panel with fruit and foliate detail to the central reserve set within an ormolu border trim with pierced gallery grille, terminating on foliate cast ormolu sabot foot and castors.
