A stunning 19th Century well figured burr walnut leather top lamp or occasional table of exceptional quality, neat proportions and finely hand carved with rich patination and beautiful grain. The moulded crossbanded top of oval form is fitted with a gorgeous deep green gilt embossed tooled leather insert above a simple frieze. Raised over a pair of elegantly tapering ring turned end supports with exquisite spiral twist and gadroon decorative detailing conjoined with ring turned stretcher, terminating on graceful out-splayed moulded legs with fabulous foliate and scroll motifs on knee and scroll foot.
