A very fine 19th Century archtop giltwood overmantel mirror of neat proportions and of exceptional quality. The shaped and curved mirror glass plate of waisted form is set within a beautifully hand carved moulded, fluted and elegantly simple giltwood frame, surmounted with an exquisite centred pierced crest composition comprising of an arrangement of leaves, flowers and branches intricately carved in high relief. Supported on shaped platform base featuring further stunningly detailed arrangement of leaves to each side.
